Delivery Delays for Orders

Delivery Delays for Orders

Update from An Post 09/09

"We are experiencing issues with processing an unprecedented volume of items within our network. This, coupled with automation being installed in our Athlone Mails Centre in preparation for Peak Processing 2025, has put enormous pressure on our 2 fully operational hubs in Dublin and particularly Portlaoise.

We have commenced our Peak Processing strategy, several weeks earlier than planned, to deal with this volume surge. This includes extra staff, processing hours and vehicles.

We expect that we will be back to 95% next day delivery by the end of this week but please, bear with us, while we increase our processing capacity.

We apologise again for the inconvenience caused."

Why Is This Happening?

While we aim to ship your order within 48 hours of it being placed, An Post have informed us that they are experiencing a very high volume of post at the moment, which is causing some delays after the order has been picked up from us. Unfortunately this is outside of our control. We apologise, and ask for your patience and understanding at this time. You will find your tracking code in the "Your order has now been shipped" email we sent you.

Where Can I Track My Order?

You can track your order using your unique tracking code here: https://www.anpost.com/

What Does This Mean for Your Order?

Once you have recieved your tracking code via email, and upon tracking your order at anpost.com, you still see a tracking message such as “We have received information about your incoming item from the sender” and "An Post has not received your item yet" this means your order has been collected from our store by An Post, but there is a delay on initially scanning it into their system.

Please allow a
further 96 hours for your tracking history to be updated. Please contact us on info@vibesandscribes.ie if your order has not been scanned within this time frame as we are notifying An Post regarding all ongoing delays.
