What is a digital downloadable PDF pattern?
When a pattern comes in downloadable PDF format, it means that it is available electronically and you will not receive a paper version in the post.
A big benefit of this for you is that it allows you to get your pattern immediately after purchase. We will provide download links after checkout and in your order confirmation email. As well as this you can get your pattern any time from your Account area's "Orders" section, which acts as an online library of your downloadable patterns.
We highly suggest you do the following:
- Create a Vibes & Scribes account so your pattern(s) have somewhere to go.
- Download your pattern immedietly once you have checked out and store it in a easy-to-find, safe folder on your device.
- Keep your order confirmation email so you'll always have access to your pattern(s)

Why can’t certain items be shipped to my delivery address?
Due to items prohibited or restricted by An Post, we're unable to send a small number of items oversees. These include:
- Aerosols of any kind i.e: spray paint and certain adhesieves.
If there are any shipping restrictions on an item then this information will be included on the product page. If there are any exclusions, it will say 'PLEASE NOTE: Due to import restrictions, it is not possible to ship this item outside Ireland.'
If you've added an item to your bag that can't be shipped to your address, you won't be able to complete your order at the checkout stage. We'll notify you at the checkout of any items that can't be shipped to the address you've selected.
To be able to complete your order, you'll need to remove any items from your bag that can't be shipped to your delivery address.
Ordering Internationally?
If your still getting an error message saying "One of more items in your basket cannot be shipped to your location", and you haven't order a restricted item - we may have forgotten to attach a weight to a product - which is needed in order to calculate shipping. Please contact our customer care team with screenshots of your cart and we will be able to resolve this issue for you.
I'm getting a "We don't have enough stock on hand" message, what do I do?
Email or call us. We may have more stock than displayed on our website and be able update the quantity so you can check out with your desired amount.
My item looks different to your photo on the website
(!) Please Note: While every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the colours depicted in our images, please be aware that due to monitor resolution, lighting, photo processing software and other factors it is almost impossible to represent colour to 100% accuracy.
I'm new to sewing, how do I buy fabric?
In every fabric, trim or ribbon product we will provide information on how it is priced and sold.
This will be displayed in the following places:
- Product Title
- Product Custom Fields
- Product Description
With the exception of quilting cottons - all quilting cottons are sold per quarter metre which is not reflected in the product title.
- If you want to buy one metre of a fabric that is sold per quarter metre - enter a quantity of 4 in the field provided
- If you want to buy a half metre (50cm) of a fabric that is sold per half metre - enter a quantity of 2 in the field provided
- If you want to buy 5 metres of a fabric that is sold by the metre - enter a quantity of 5 in the field provided
In the example below - this product is €8.25 per half metre. If I wanted to purchase 1 metre, I would enter a quantity of 2, which would raise the price to €16.50.
All our fabrics are cut in one continuous piece, we don't cut the fabric into multiple pieces when you order multiple quantities.

Why have I received an email saying the item I've ordered is out of stock?
We're really sorry if you've received an email saying one or more of the items you've ordered is out of stock.
When this happens, it means we thought we had stock of the item when you placed the order. However, when we went to pack your order up, we realised the item wasn't available anymore.
Will you restock the item?
In the email you receive we'll either let you know of suitable alternatives for the out of stock product(s) or inform you whether or not the product(s) is reorderable.

If you have recieved an email from us informing you an item is out of stock and we haven't heard back from you after 24hrs, we will refund the item(s) in question and ship the rest of your order. We will let you know this is happening in a follow up email.
If you haven't recieved an email notifying you of an out of stock product, and it's not reflected on your updated physical invoice, then we may have made a mistake. Please contact us at info@vibesandscribes.ie where our customer care team will handle this issue as soon as possible.
