badly made books is the brainchild of illustrator and designer Seán O’Sullivan. Produced in Cork city, each beautiful book is bound by hand at their Togher-based workshop. Ideal for writers, artists and anyone with a creative streak, these notebooks and journals are made using over 80% recycled materials.
Using papers that are made in Europe using fibres collected from used consumer goods such as coffee cups or food waste fibres, badly made books contribute to the circular economy and lessen the impact of consumption.
Their printing with restraint policy is a unique feature of their design, achieved by using imagery that requires less ink to print.
