It would be difficult to overstate the historical and political importance of this taut, gripping story, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning series of articles in the Washington Post. After a break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Watergate Hotel in June 1972, Post journalist Bob Woodward was called in on a Saturday to cover the story, soon joined by political reporter Carl Bernstein.
