Moleskin is a densely woven cotton fabric with a brushed surface that looks like suede or the fur of a mole (but is not made with animal skin!). Moleskin does not have a tendency to wrinkle. The fabric structure has floats that are brushed to create the suede-like surface, and floats help a fabric resist wrinkling. The tactile hand of its cotton twill weave meets the soft, slightly fuzzy feel created by a brushed finish—adding warmth and a lived-in feel. With a supple drape, it’s perfect for crafting loose utilitarian pants, structured jackets, chic skorts, and go-to overalls. Opaque, midweight and ready for anything, no lining is needed for most applications.
