Little is known about Japanese woodcut artist Nishimura Hodo, but his works offer stunning examples of traditional kacho-e prints—particularly the ca. 1930s image of a bird perched among ripening persimmons on these coasters. The 8 substantial cork-backed coasters measure 3¾ inches square (with rounded corners) and are presented in a durable keepsake box.
