George R.R. Martin
George R.R. Martin is a globally bestselling American author of epic fantasy, best known for his A Song of Ice and Fire series, which was adapted by HBO into the Emmy Award-winning television series Game of Thrones and its prequel series House of the Dragon. The series includes A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons, with the concluding volumes still forthcoming. Martin also wrote the related Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, now adapted as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and contributed worldbuilding for the video game Elden Ring. Time magazine called him "the American Tolkien." He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
