Olivia Hope
Olivia Hope is an Irish children's picture book author from Killarney, Co. Kerry, known for her lyrical, nature-inspired stories and her love of wildness, adventure and the southwest Irish landscape. Her debut picture book Be Wild, Little One, illustrated by Daniel Egneus and published by Bloomsbury in 2022, was translated into six languages and named Children's Book of the Week by the Times. Her second book Little Lion Girl, illustrated by Fiona Woodcock, followed in 2024, and her third, The Lonely Only Dinosaur, was published in 2025. Before writing, she was a record-breaking international hammer thrower and worked as a teacher and creative arts facilitator. She lives in southwest Ireland with her family.
