Peter Donnelly
Peter Donnelly is a bestselling Irish picture book author and illustrator, best known for the much-loved President series featuring the adventures of Ireland's president and his animal companions. Since his debut The President's Glasses became Ireland's bestselling picture book in 2017, he has sold over 140,000 books across titles including The President's Cat, The President's Dog, The President's Surprise, The Dead Zoo, Up on the Mountain, and Little Wolf. The President's Cat won Children's Book of the Year at the An Post Irish Book Awards in 2018, and the series won again in 2023. Before writing picture books, Peter worked as an animator on films including The Land Before Time, All Dogs Go to Heaven, and Anastasia. He lives in Wicklow.
