Tahereh Mafi
Tahereh Mafi is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Iranian-American author of the Shatter Me series, one of the most popular young adult dystopian franchises of the past decade. The Shatter Me universe spans seven novels, multiple novellas, and a new spin-off series, Shatter Me: The New Republic, launched in April 2025. She is also the author of the Persian mythology-inspired romantasy series This Woven Kingdom and the National Book Award-longlisted contemporary novel A Very Large Expanse of Sea. Born in Connecticut to Iranian immigrant parents, she holds varying levels of proficiency in eight languages. She lives in California with her husband, fellow author Ransom Riggs.
