STEP BY STEP

Step 1.

Cut a piece of crepe paper approx. 14 cm wide and 11 cm in the stretch direction. Apply glue to the egg and stretch the crepe paper around the egg. Finish by twisting the crepe paper at the top.

Step 2.

You may make eggs in different colours by choosing different colours of crepe paper.

Step 3.

Cut the crepe paper top off some of the eggs but make sure that the remaining crepe paper is still covering the top of the egg. Apply a bit of glue at the top and push the crepe paper firmly into the glue to cover the polystyrene egg.

Step 4.

Attach the gold metal hanger by pushing it into the top of the polystyrene egg.

Step 5.

Decorate the eggs with watercolour markers. You may use an airbrush which sprays the paint from the watercolour marker onto the egg in small droplets.

Step 6.

You may use the watercolour marker for decorating along the edge of the crepe paper.

Step 7.

Spray a bit of water in a spray bottle onto the edge decorated with the watercolour marker and watch how the paint runs into the crepe paper.

Step 8.

Attach a string for hanging through the loop on the hanger at the top.

Step 9.

Make small bows and ribbon from crepe paper. Make a bow by cutting a piece of crepe paper measuring 3 cm in width and 12 cm in the stretch direction. Glue the ends together. Cut a ribbon for the bow measuring approx. 1 cm in width and 15 cm in length in the stretch direction.

Step 10.

Fold the bow in the middle. Tie the crepe paper ribbon around it and trim to a suitable length.

Step 11.

Attach the bow onto the string. Apply glue to a small piece of crepe paper and attach this onto the back of the bow, covering the string.

Step 12.

Decorate the eggs according to your imagination with crepe paper ribbon bands.
