STEP BY STEP

Step 1.

Print out the template sheet, which you can find as a separate PDF on this page. Cut out all the pieces in crêpe paper in the amount indicated on the template. Cut according to the direction of the paper's stretch and fold the paper to the correct length. Fold the piece for the flower part into three – this makes the piece three times longer than the specified template. Two pieces are needed for a flower. Now stretch these two pieces to form curves.

Step 2.

Using a glue gun, apply a small amount of glue to the end of one flower piece and start wrapping the flower piece around the stem. Keep twisting and glue about 10 cm of the flower piece around and around.

Step 3.

Now, glue another flower piece on top of the flower piece you just glued around the stem. Insert the petals in a staggered pattern as shown in the picture. Now twist and glue the rest of the flower pieces around themselves until the whole flower is glued at the end of the stem and the flower head is finished.

Step 4.

Glue small cover leaves onto the piece around the stem to cover the bottom of the flower head.

Step 5.

Press the end of the piece around the stem as shown in the picture.

Step 6.

Cut out a piece of green crêpe paper that is 1 cm wide and 30 cm long. Stretch the piece out completely and then place a small amount of glue on one end. Glue the piece around the stem at the top and start to cover the stem all the way down. Twist the piece diagonally over the stem, sticking it down firmly with Multi Glue as you do so.

Step 7.

Glue the leaves to the stem between the diagonal twist and wrap the covering piece around the bottom of each leaf to cover the joins.
