Terry Pratchett
Sir Terry Pratchett (1948-2015) was an English author and one of the most beloved fantasy writers of all time, best known for his Discworld series of satirical comic fantasy novels. With more than 100 million books sold worldwide in 43 languages, Pratchett was the UK's best-selling author of the 1990s. The Discworld series spans 41 novels, beginning with The Colour of Magic in 1983 and concluding posthumously with The Shepherd's Crown in 2015. He also co-wrote the beloved comic novel Good Omens with Neil Gaiman. He was appointed OBE in 1998 and knighted for services to literature in 2009.
